The Georgia Bulldogs aren't giving up in their pursuit of a 2025 Tennessee Vols commit who happens to have a close connection to UGA.

2025 four-star defensive lineman Ethan Utley committed to Tennessee in late March. This past week, Utley reaffirmed his commitment to the Vols, telling Rivals.com that he's "all in" with Tennessee.

Utley also told Rivals.com that Syracuse and Georgia, despite his commitment to Tennessee, have continued to recruit him hard.

Georgia's interest is notable because Utley's mom, Tracy Walls, played basketball for the Bulldogs.

From Rivals.com: Syracuse and Georgia have both remained consistent in their communication with Utley. Georgia is the alma mater of Utley's mother, so he doesn't expect the Dawgs to give up anytime soon. As of right now, he is more than comfortable with the Volunteers.

Utley, 6-foot-4/265 lbs from Nashville, TN, is rated in 247Sports' composite rankings as the No. 21 defensive lineman in the nation and the No. 3 player in the state of Tennessee.

Last weekend, Utley was named the defensive line MVP of the Rivals Camp Series in Indianapolis.

For now, with Utley reaffirming his commitment to Tennessee, it appears there's nothing to worry about when it comes to Georgia's interest in the talented four-star defensive lineman. But it's still a situation worth keeping an eye on. You can never count Kirby Smart and the Bulldogs out -- especially when a player has a family connection to Georgia like Utley has via his mom.
