The Georgia Bulldogs (9-2) moved up three spots in the latest College Football Rankings and now sit at No. 7.
Meanwhile, Oregon (No.1), Ohio State (No. 2), Texas (No. 3), Penn State (No. 4), Notre Dame (No. 5), and Miami (No. 6) continue to rank ahead of the Dawgs.
If Georgia were to hypothetically play in the playoffs today, they would be the 8th seed and take on No. 8 Tennessee at home.
These rankings only continue to look more comical as the College Football Playoff Committee keeps ignoring the fact that Georgia has undoubtedly played the toughest schedule this season.
But regardless of where the committee decides to put the Bulldogs, Kirby Smart isn't paying too close attention because he has more important things to worry about.
"No, we've got work," Smart said on Tuesday when asked if he would be watching the latest rankings drop. "We start right now at about 6:30 and go to about 10 or so. Usually, my phone starts blowing up with texts, but I don't watch it."
