Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs are no longer leading the SEC in the 2026 recruiting rankings.
Right now, Georgia, which currently has 20 players committed to their class of 2026, is No. 3 in SEC recruiting rankings, with the Texas A&M Aggies taking No. 1 and LSU at No. 2, per On3.
When it comes to national rankings, however, Georgia comes in at No. 6 overall.
While this might concern some fans, there is zero reason to worry.
According to Georgia insider Brooks Austin, things are about to "skyrocket" in the Bulldogs' recruiting department.
After On3's Hayes Fawcett teased a Georgia Bulldog graphic over the weekend, Austin went digging and here's what he found:
According to sources, that [Georgia commits] number is about to skyrocket. On3’s Hayes Fawcett, known for posting commitment graphics of recruits, teased a UGA GIF — hinting towards a potential commitment.
Bulldogs on SI then texted sources inside the building, and were notified that they are expecting to go on a tear in Athens over the coming weeks. One source said as many as (10) potential commits in the coming ten days, spanning both the 2026 and potentially 2027 classes.
Following Brooks' findings, Georgia landed three commits in three days: 4-star linebacker Shadarius Toodle, 4-star EDGE Khamari Brooks, and 3-star EDGE Corey Howard.
That should be just the beginning of the Dawgs' big wave of commits on the way.
