The Georgia Bulldogs could make a case for having the most impressive win in college football after Week 2.

The Tennessee Volunteers seemed to have all of the momentum and also seemed well on their way to ending an eight-game losing streak to the Bulldogs. The Vols went up by two scores early, but quarterback Gunner Stockton and the Bulldogs never gave up.

With the Bulldogs trailing 38-30 in the fourth quarter with a little over two minutes remaining in the game, Stockton delivered a 28-yard strike to London Humphreys on fourth down for a touchdown. They were able to get the two-point conversion, and after a missed Tennessee field goal for the win, Georgia won in overtime.

For Stockton, this was undoubtedly the best performance of his career as he threw for a career-high 304 yards, with two touchdowns through the air, and one on the ground. While the redshirt junior is on his way to becoming a star in Athens, on Tuesday, it was revealed that his performance immortalized him as a legend in Tiger, Georgia.

As revealed by Rivals, Stockton's Rabun County High School program announced that it would be retiring his No. 14 jersey.

During his time at Rabun County, Stockton threw for 13,652 yards with 177 passing touchdowns, to go along with 4,372 rushing yards and 77 touchdowns on the ground.

Stockton was also named Georgia's Gatorade Player of the Year during his senior season.

The No. 6 Bulldogs are on a bye this week, but next week will have a chance to avenge their 2024 loss to the No. 14 Alabama Crimson Tide.

That game is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 27, at 7:30 p.m. ET, and will air on ABC.
