Georgia Quarterback Carson Beck Is Reportedly Transferring

Well, it appears Georgia quarterback Carson Beck is putting his dreams of playing in the NFL on hold.

Roughly two weeks ago, Beck announced on Instagram that he was declaring for the 2025 NFL Draft. The talented gunslinger said, "The past five years at the University of Georgia have been nothing short of a dream come true and I will forever cherish the memories that have been made." While he will be leaving Athens behind, he won't be going pro just yet.

According to Pete Nakos of On3, Beck plans on entering the transfer portal. He'd easily become the top transfer quarterback available.

Beck had an incredible 2023 season with the Bulldogs, completing 72.4 percent of his passes for 3,941 yards with 24 touchdowns and six interceptions. Although he was still productive in 2024, his efficiency dropped just a bit. He had 3,485 passing yards with 28 touchdowns and 12 interceptions.

Unfortunately for Beck, his 2024 season was cut short due to a UCL injury that required surgery. The injury occurred during the first half of the SEC Championship Game against Texas.

Beck has already had surgery and is expected to resume throwing in the spring. His procedure was reportedly done by Dr. Neal ElAttrache in Los Angeles.

It'll be fascinating to see where Beck ends up next fall. Coming into the 2024 season, he was considered a first-round prospect.

Beck could, in theory, rebuild his draft stock on another team. And if he chooses wisely, he could find himself in the College Football Playoff.

Where do you think Carson Beck will end up?
