Georgia RB Trevor Etienne Predicted to Join $260 Million Star QB in NFL Mock Draft

In a draft heavy on running back talent, some NFL teams looking to add to their backfield are going to be able to find significant value, and one latest mock has a Super Bowl contender doing just that with a departing member of the Georgia Bulldogs.

Trevor Etienne enjoyed just a single season with the Bulldogs after transferring from Florida, though he still authored some memorable performances, his most notable coming in the SEC Championship as he rushed for 94 yards and two touchdowns in a win over Texas.

He'll hope to replicate the big-play ability he displayed in that game when he gets to the highest level, and a recent mock has him landing in a perfect spot in which to do so.

Joe DeLeone's latest mock for Pro Football Sports Network has Etienne dropping to the bottom of the fifth round and the Baltimore Ravens taking him with the 178th overall pick.

That prolonged wait to hear his name called would obviously be highly frustrating for Florida transfer Etienne, but he would not be able to have many complaints about his destination.

Joining an offense led by Lamar Jackson, the two-time MVP the Ravens signed to a $260 million extension in 2023, Etienne could quickly benefit from playing in the same backfield as arguably the most dynamic dual-threat quarterback in NFL history, with the doubt Jackson puts in the minds of defenders key to Baltimore consistently leading the league in rushing, something it has done in each of the last two campaigns.

Etienne would join a crowded running back room led by Derrick Henry and also featuring Justice Hill, Keaton Mitchell and last year's fifth-round pick Rasheen Ali.

But Etienne projects as a great complement to Henry and, while he obviously will not want to drop to day three, any disappointment if that does happen should quickly be erased if he ends up with a contender like the Ravens with whom he can thrive.
