The 2023 college football season has not officially come to a close just yet for some teams as bowl games have not yet started and the college football playoff is still a few weeks out. However, that hasn't stopped the SEC from teasing some of the premiere matchups for next season, and they just released the details for perhaps the biggest game of the season.

Georgia will make the trip to Alabama on Sept. 28 next season. The game will be played at 7:30 PM on ABC as well, the SEC announced today via their Twitter account. This will be the second time since 2020 that the Bulldogs will have traveled to Bryan-Denny Stadium as they did so during the 2020 college football season. It will also be just the third time that the two teams will have met during the regular season since 2015.

To put into perspective how meaningful it is when Georgia and Alabama get matched up against one another, the SEC Championship game this year brought in 17.7 million viewers, the most out of any of the conference championship games played that weekend.

It has also already been announced that Georgia will travel to Austin, Texas to take on the Longhorns on Oct. 19 of next season. The complete 2024 SEC football schedules will be released on Wednesday evening on ESPN.
