Former Tennessee offensive lineman Gerald Mincey has been active on social media following his transfer to Kentucky. The former Volunteer is set for a rematch with the Vols on November 2, 2024, and isn't shy about what he thinks the outcome will be. Kentucky is entering a pivotal season for its program.
Kentucky head coach Mark Stoops entered the transfer portal to land Georgia quarterback Brock Vandagriff . Vandagriff was the No. 17 prospect in the 2021 class, according to the 247Sports' Composite Rankings, and has two seasons of eligibility remaining.
“Kentucky has got to do more to earn it. I'm glad. ... I love the underdog role. So when we go there November 2nd to Neyland and we bust them in the mouth, we can put the standard back over here."

Despite announcing he would return to Tennessee, Mincey decided to finish his college career elsewhere. He was a projected starter at the tackle position for the 2024 Volunteers team and will now move on from Tennessee. He has been with Tennessee the past two seasons after transferring in from the Florida Gators, in which he saw action in double-digit games for the Gators in 2021. He was a former 2020 recruit who was listed as a three-star entering college, and he was the 689th overall prospect according to the On3 industry rankings. Schools nationwide recruited him heavily before committing to Florida and later transferring to the Tennessee Volunteers.
