Gophers offer Donald Driver's son, Penn State transfer Cristian Driver
Matt Krohn / USA TODAY Sports

Penn State transfer receiver Cristian Driver, the son of longtime Green Bay Packers star Donald Driver, has received a scholarship offer from the Gophers football team, he said on Saturday.

Driver was a redshirt freshman in 2023 and played in six games for the Nittany Lions, recording two tackles on special teams and catching his first career pass against Delaware on Sept. 9.

Driver wasn’t listed as a receiver at Penn State but instead as an athlete. He was rated as a four-star recruit by 247Sports, On3, Rivals and ESPN coming out of Liberty Christian High School in Argyle, Texas, where he played under former Dallas Cowboys tight end Jason Witten. ESPN ranked Driver as the No. 13 safety and No. 174 recruit in the country.
