Greg Penn Jr. spoke to the media after the game about where he thinks the team is headed moving forward and what the future holds for Whit Weeks.
Coach Kelly talked about how confident he is in the direction of the program. Where do you think this team is headed moving forward?
Greg: I think it's only going to go up from here especially finishing the season off well. And then whatever bowl game playing in that and finishing that off well and then just moving on from there. I think Coach Kelly and the staff are in a great position especially with the players that they have coming back. I think it'll be a great season next year for them.
What is the ceiling for Whit Weeks?
Greg: His ceiling is as high as he wants it to go. I think the linebacker room in particular is in really great hands for years to come so I think the ceiling for him is what he wants to do. I think he's going to be a great player and hopefully next year, he is going to take the steps and to lead the defense.
How did you feel when you walked off that field for the last time?
Greg: Bittersweet. I’m ready to take the next step but at the same time man it was crazy. I looked up and it was three minutes left and I'm like,”wow we’ve got three minutes left in Death Valley.” It flew by so it's really crazy.
