Houston Cougars running back Dean Connors made the catch of the weekend on Saturday against the Oklahoma State Cowboys.
Connors reached up and made an Odell Beckham-esque one-handed grab during the second quarter of Saturday’s game at Boone Pickens Stadium in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
Quarterback Conner Weigman faked a draw, then tried to find Connors, but his throw was a little bit higher than he wanted it to be.
No matter for Connors, who made the catch and held on as he went to ground.

The touchdown gave Houston a seven-point lead that eventually ballooned to 24-10 by halftime.
Connors, a senior, ran for 771 yards last season while tallying 403 receiving yards. His numbers are down slightly this season, as he entered Saturday’s contest with a modest 128 yards on 27 carries, but he is clearly still a threat at the goal line with plays like this.
Houston is off to a 4-1 start in 2025, though they suffered their first loss of the season last week against the Texas Tech Red Raiders.
