Tennessee Vols head coach Josh Heupel is obviously nowhere close to being on the hot seat.

Heupel has done an incredible job since taking over at Tennessee in early 2021, leading the Vols to an 11-win season in 2022, multiple wins over Alabama and Florida, and the program's first College Football Playoff appearance.

So why are we even putting Heupel's name in the same sentence with the phrase "hot seat"?

CBS Sports put together it's annual hot seat rankings for every FBS head coach this week. Every coach from Georgia's Kirby Smart (no chance in hell he gets fired) to Louisiana Tech's Sonny Cumbie (probably getting fired before November) has a ranking.

Heupel's ranking is 1.11, which places him in the "safe and secure" range.

Only two head coaches in the SEC have a "safer" ranking than Heupel -- Smart and Texas Longhorns head coach Steve Sarkisian.

Here are the complete rankings for every SEC head coach.

Alabama - Kalen DeBoer - 2.33
Arkansas - Sam Pittman - 4.22
Auburn - Hugh Freeze - 4.22
Florida - Billy Napier - 3.67
Georgia - Kirby Smart - 0.11
Kentucky - Mark Stoops - 3.56
LSU - Brian Kelly - 3.33
Mississippi State - Jeff Lebby - 3
Missouri - Eliah Drinkwitz - 1.11
Oklahoma - Brent Venables - 4.67
Ole Miss - Lane Kiffin - 1.11
South Carolina - Shane Beamer - 1.11
Tennessee - Josh Heupel - 1.11
Texas - Steve Sarkisian - 0.44
Texas A&M - Mike Elko - 1.67
Vanderbilt - Clark Lea - 1.78

This is the most stable that Tennessee football has been since Phillip Fulmer was roaming the sidelines in Knoxville. Unless things completely fall apart out of nowhere, or a major scandal hits the program, Heupel isn't going anywhere anytime soon.
