Nebraska Cornhuskers fans are looking forward to seeing quarterback Dylan Raiola put together a solid season. They are hopeful that Raiola, playing in conjunction with head coach Matt Rhule's guidance, will be a key player for the Cornhuskers.
College football analyst Andy Staples has some thoughts on what might happen in Raiola's upcoming efforts. He shared them while being a guest on a new episode of the HuskerOnline podcast that dropped on Saturday.

When asked about Raiola's upcoming second season at Nebraska, Staples said, “My thing is we have not seen him as a sophomore yet. The biggest jumps tend to come between year one as a starter and year two as a starter for quarterbacks. So let’s see what he does this year.”
As a freshman, Raiola passed for 2,819 yards with 13 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. He finished with a quarterback rating of 63.8. Raiola led Nebraska to a 20-15 win in the Bad Boy Mowers Pinstripe Bowl over Boston College.
Raiola will have a new offensive coordinator to work with this season as Dana Holgorsen fills that role on Rhule's staff. Holgorsen has been around the college football world for some time, so Nebraska fans hope his wisdom will end up giving Raiola better on-field instructions.
It will be interesting to see if the Cornhuskers can improve on their 7-6 record in 2024. Nebraska finished Big Ten play with a 3-6 mark, something Rhule, Holgorsen and Raiola look to change with bigger impact plays.
