IMG Academy Edge earns long awaited Alabama football offer

Ismael Schiefer reported an offer from Alabama football on Tuesday, adding to his impressive offer list.

Schiefer is a 2028 edge prospect who attends IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida. He holds previous offers from Georgia, LSU, Notre Dame, Texas and others.

The sophomore has visited the Tide several times as a recruit and has been looking forward to earning an offer from the Tide.

“It means a lot to me,” Schiefer told Touchdown Alabama. “I’ve been back and forth to Bama since the old staff, when I was in 8th grade. I’ve actually dreamed about playing for Nick Saban.”

Schiefer continues to have a lot of respect for the Alabama program, with Kalen DeBoer leading the Crimson Tide. He feels DeBoer and his staff will always have the Tide in position to compete for a title.

“Bama will always be in the run for the Natty, and that means Bama is always going to checks be just fine,” Schiefer said.

At 6-foot-4 and 247 pounds, Schiefer checks a lot of boxes as an edge prospect with his length. He feels his ability to play the run is a strength of his at the moment, with getting after the quarterback being something he feels he shines at as well.

“My run stop is my biggest strength, and pass rushing has always come easy for me,” said Schiefer.
