No. 1 seed Indiana Hoosiers face the No. 5 Oregon Ducks in the College Football Playoff semifinals. Sure enough, there's plenty of anticipation as the two teams play each other again after their meeting three months ago.

Indiana football opened as 4.5-point favorites in the Peach Bowl, according to FanDuel. The over-under is set at 47.5 points in the opening odds.

However, with a spot in the College Football Playoff National Championship on the line, it's hard to write off Oregon and a potentially high-scoring game. When the two teams met during the season last October, they scored a combined 50 points, with Indiana taking a 30-20 victory.

Peach Bowl: Indiana vs. Oregon Preview

There are plenty of storylines to follow ahead of Indiana and Oregon's game in Atlanta next Friday.

For one, the showdown between Hoosiers QB Fernando Mendoza and Ducks signal-caller Dante Moore will be interesting to see. During their previous meeting, their numbers were pretty close, with Mendoza throwing for 215 yards and one touchdown against one interception and Moore recording 186 yards and one touchdown with two picks.

Mendoza has since gone on to win the Heisman Trophy after leading Indiana to an undefeated season. Until now, the Hoosiers have yet to lose, recently destroying the No. 9 Alabama Crimson Tide in the Rose Bowl 38-3.

As for Moore, he's coming off a 234-yard passing display to lead Oregon to a 23-0 shutout of the Texas Tech Red Raiders in the Orange Bowl.

Indiana and Oregon enter the Peach Bowl with plenty of motivation, as both programs search for their first national championship.

It's certainly massive for Curt Cignetti's Indiana, a program that has the second-most losses in college football history with 715. They are only behind Northwestern with 718 losses.

As for Dan Lanning's Oregon, aside from winning, they have extra chips on their shoulders after their previous loss to Indiana. Ducks linebacker Bryce Boettcher said as much after their win over Texas Tech, stating that "I'd like to get my get back on Indiana."

Indiana vs. Oregon Predictions and Picks

Considering how dominant Indiana has been, it's not surprising that experts are favoring them to win and secure a ticket to the title game.

CBS Sports has Indiana winning again and covering the 4.5-point spread, and The Sporting News had the same prediction — even going as far as to predict that the Hoosiers will win 28-21.

FanSided also has Indiana winning, 28-22.

On the other hand, Oregon-based news site The Register-Guard sees the Ducks taking down the Hoosiers, 28-24. Unfortunately, there aren't a lot of fans and experts backing Oregon to come out on top.

For what it's worth, prior to the College Football Playoff, Athlon Sports' experts predicted Indiana to win the Peach Bowl.
