Ohio State could be without one of its regulars against Penn State Saturday.
Penn State fans will spend this week wondering and worrying about the status of QB Drew Allar and DE Dani Dennis-Sutton.
For Ohio State, starting left tackle Zen Michalski was carted off the field in Saturday’s 21-17 win at Nebraska.
But per Ohio State coach Ryan Day, Michalski could still play Saturday. If he’s good to go, he’ll be the starter at left tackle. If he can’t go, Ohio State would be down to its third string LT.
Ohio State left tackle Zen Michalski, who was carted off in the Nebraska game, hasn't been ruled out for Penn State, coach Ryan Day said. If available, Michalski will start at left tackle for the Buckeyes.

Michalski isn’t even supposed to be Ohio State’s starter. Ohio State’s regular left tackle, Josh Simmons, got hurt against Oregon Oct. 12. When Michalski got hurt against Nebraska, Donovan Jackson moved from left guard to left tackle. Moving over to left guard was Luke Montgomery, a second-year player from Findlay, Ohio who Penn State recruited. Although Ohio State is banged up on the o-line, the same could be said for Penn State on the d-line. Dani Dennis-Sutton, a player many project to be a first-round 2025 draft pick, is dealing with an apparent groin injury that kept him out for most of the second half against Wisconsin Saturday.
Coach James Franklin said in his Monday presser than Dennis-Sutton is expected to be a game time decision.
As a result, Penn State may have to use true freshman Max Granville. Granville played 10 snaps against Wisconsin after only appearing in one of the first six games.

Although there are multiple injuries to keep in mind going into this game, the one most fans of both teams will be focus on is Penn State QB Drew Allar. Allar went down with an apparent knee injury late in the first half in Madison and didn’t come back to the game. As a result, Beau Pribula came in and more than held his own, going 11-for-13 with 98 yards and a touchdown.
If Drew can’t play, Beau will go.
In any case, No. 3 Penn State is scheduled to take on No. 4 Ohio State at noon on Fox.
