Arizona State University running back Cameron Skattebo has garnered significant attention for his outstanding performance during the 2024 college football season.

In the 2024 season, Skattebo logged 293 carries for 1,711 yards (5.8 average) and 21 touchdowns. He was just as dynamic in the receiving game as he caught 45 receptions for 605 yards (13.4 average) and 3 touchdowns.

Pro Football Focus (PFF) recognized his efforts by ranking him 4th on their list of top 101 draft prospects for 2025.

His running style, physicality as both a rusher and blocker, and ability to force missed tackles are his strengths. Concerns about his limited long speed and stiffness in changing direction are noted as potential drawbacks.

Max Chadwick, Dalton Wasserman and Mitch Kaiser of PFF collaborated on the list. They described him as follows:

"Skattebo took college football by storm down the stretch of Arizona State’s remarkable season. He will forever be remembered for his amazing three touchdown (one as a passer) performance against Texas in an instant classic playoff game where he left it all on the field."

While Skattebo's on-field performance was exceptional, PFF's rankings also take into account factors such as physical attributes and projected NFL potential.

His production and impact at the collegiate level suggests that he could even outperform this ranking, especially if he finds a suitable role in the NFL.

Skattebo is a compelling prospect, and his future success will depend on how well he adapts to the NFL and which team welcomes him into their offense.
