Pearce checks every box physically. He stands 6-foof-5 with long arms and fluid athleticism. He moves like a tight end in space and closes gaps in a flash. These aren’t just flashy traits, they translate into production.

He has the kind of first step that forces offensive coordinators to game plan around him. His length affects passing lanes even when he doesn’t reach the quarterback. Teams picking in the teens or later may regret passing on a player with this kind of upside.

There are edge rushers projected ahead of Pearce who haven’t shown the same level of consistency or athleticism. So why is he slipping? It’s not based on tape.
