Mohns Earns Crucial 2027 Pledge

Caleb Camping (Fort Collins, CO.) committed to Arizona State on Monday - choosing to play for the Sun Devils over Cal, Kansas, Kansas State, Minnesota, and others following a courtship by Mohns.

Camping is considered the #61 player at the TE position and the 10th-best prospect in Colorado according to 247 Sports, which continues to advance the general success that Arizona State has seen in recruiting, although it is an especially exciting time for Mohns.

The major story out of the tight end position this offseason is that Mohns is in-line to replace both Metayer and Harpole in the season ahead.

Mohns stated after the conclusion of Tuesday's practice that he believed that redshirt freshman AJ Ia and senior Khamari Anderson were good enough to take major reps last season, but were held back by the two most senior members of the group. Now, both seem poised to take a step forward in terms of seeing the field.

The Sun Devils also have a pair of incoming transfers and incoming recruits that will be factored into the fold. Kristian Ingman is set to make the jump from the FCS level into power four and has an explosive ability as a vertical field stretcher. Anthony Miller is similar to Metayer as a blocker and has a track record of playing to a high volume - having taken 400 snaps last season at Tulane.

The incoming freshman are Landen Miree and Hayden Vercher. Miree's path to Tempe was by chance, as he met with Mohns on a whim on a layover in Phoenix, and has made great strides in recent weeks. Ultimately, Mohns is one of many loyal assistants that have left a positive mark on the Kenny Dillingham era at ASU.
