Jayson Jones joined the Locked On Auburn Podcast to discuss different off-season topics.

Host Zac Blackerby asked Jones about the new Ron Roberts defense and how everyone has done learning it.

Jones responded, " I believe everyone, especially the new freshman, are getting the hang of the whole philosophy and learning the playbook pretty fast. I know when I was a freshman, it was hard for me, but a lot of these guys are adapting fast. Darron Reed is doing pretty good, adapting fast. Keldric (Faulk) has the whole playbook down pat."

Blackerby then asked Jones his thoughts on Reed and what he has done in the off-season.

Jones responded, "One thing about him is he won't quit. It doesn't matter if stuff gets hard; he's fine. He's not a quitter. He's going to keep on going. I can tell that he really wants it."

Lastly, Blackerby asked Jones about Faulk and his improvement heading into the 2023 season.

Jones responded, "Keldric (Faulk) has been doing amazing. Grinding every single day. He's always finding ways to try and get better. Amazing player. During the fall, he's going to turn a lot of heads."

It's exciting to see that Jones, the veteran, has been impressed with the freshman thus far.

Hearing that Faulk and Reed are hard workers leads me to believe very successful Auburn careers are ahead of them.
