Why JMU Deserves to be Ranked

The James Madison Dukes move to 5-0 on the season and are still unranked. The committee will come together and will release the next ranking tomorrow. One thing certain: The Dukes deserve to be ranked.

Utter Dominance From the Dukes

There’s not much to say about the Dukes other than his dominant they are. With the movement of Chesney to UCLA, the Dukes were expected to have a down season. But, the Dukes are yet again the real deal.

Through their five games, the Dukes have outscore their opponents by 158 points. Most of that margin came from their huge victory over Wagner 87-3.

Napier Was the Right Coach

Billy Napier had a ton of controversy after his tenure at Florida. However, his time in the Sun Belt has been nothing short of electric. He built his coaching resume at Louisiana going 40-12 and winning two Sun Belt championships.

Now at Harrisonburg, he’s already proved that the Dukes can hang and control the valley. All that’s left for Napier at JMU is to see his team ranked, win another Sun Belt championship and get the Dukes back into the College Football Playoffs.
