Senior Ohio State Buckeyes safety Josh Proctor accepted an invite to the Reese's Senior Bowl Tuesday, just a day after senior linebacker Tommy Eichenberg accepted his invite.

Senior Bowl invites are sent out to the top players in college football as a showcase for NFL scouts.

Proctor has helped solidify one of the best secondaries in the nation. The Buckeyes were the only team to limit opponents to less than 150 passing yards per game in the Football Bowl Subdivision.

By himself, the safety recorded eight pass breakups this season, tied for fourth in the Big Ten with teammate and junior cornerback Denzel Burke.

Proctor was voted to the defensive All-conference third team on Nov. 28, as voted by the conference media, but received an honorable mention for the All-Big Ten Defensive team, as selected by the coaches.

Since arriving in 2018, Proctor has recorded 106 tackles, 14 pass breakups, three interceptions, and a sack but has significantly progressed by the year in each category.

Because Proctor has not declared for the NFL Draft yet, the Buckeyes likely expect him to play in their final game of the season — and what will be his final game at Ohio State — Dec. 29 in the Cotton Bowl Classic, a New Year's Six Bowl game vs. the Missouri Tigers in Arlington, TX.

The Owasso, Oklahoma, native will look forward to playing the Missouri Tigers in Arlington, Texas, just two months before heading to Mobile, Alabama, for the Senior Bowl on Feb. 3.
