On Wednesday, Lance Leipold and the Kansas Jayhawks added another player in the Class of 2026 with the commitment of three-star wide receiver Tyren Parker.
Parker, a 6-foot-3 wideout from Tecumseh, Kansas, committed to the Jayhawks over offers from three different programs, including Kansas State, Oklahoma State, and Iowa State.

Coming out of Shawnee Heights High School in the Class of 2026, Parker is listed as a three-star prospect by the 247Sports index and the nation’s 824th-ranked player. He also checked in as the 131st-ranked player at his position and the ninth-ranked player in the state of Kansas.
“Since we got there, me and my parents, we were just smiling,” Parker told 247Sports’ Michael Swain. “The coaches were coming up to us, talking to us. We have a great relationship with them. So it’s great.”
With his commitment, Parker became Kansas’ 13th addition in the Class of 2026, a group that checks in as the nation’s fourth-best overall class.
Parker finished his thoughts by saying, “I think of the culture of Kansas. It’s great. I like how everything looks. Everybody is nice to each other and bonding. It looks perfect there.”
