Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs are now in a head-to-head battle with just one team for four-star edge rusher Khamari Brooks.
Per On3’s Hayes Fawcett, Brooks has called off his remaining official visit and is down to two finalists: Georgia and Alabama.
"BREAKING: Four-Star EDGE Khamari Brooks is down to Alabama and Georgia, he tells me for @on3recruits. The 6’4 235 EDGE from Bogart, GA has cancelled his remaining Official Visits to Texas & USC," writes Fawcett.

Brooks, the 6‑foot‑4 and 230‑pound from Bogart, Georgia, is a four‑star EDGE in the class of 2026. Per On3, Brooks ranks as the No. 17 edge rusher nationally and the No. 13 prospect in the Peach State.
During his Junior year at North Oconee High School last fall, Brooks tallied 131 tackles, 24 quarterback hurries, 17 tackles for loss, 13 sacks, along with three pass breakups, two forced fumbles, and two defensive touchdowns. On offense, he added 31 receptions for 569 yards and nine scores.
Georgia won't be slowing down its chase for Brooks or other elite prospects anytime soon. The Bulldogs already have 16 commits in their 2026 class, which sits at No. 5 in the country and tops the SEC.
Georgia currently boasts the nation’s No. 5 recruiting class and has 16 players committed to their recruiting class of 2026:
