The Georgia Bulldogs may have lost one of their key weapons from their 2026 recruiting class in four-star wide receiver Vance Spafford, but they quickly made up for it.
A few hours after Spafford decommitted from Georgia for Miami, the Bulldogs were able to land in-state four-star linebacker Khamari Brooks, per On3's Hayes Fawcett.
"BREAKING: Four-Star EDGE Khamari Brooks has committed to Georgia, he tells me for @on3recruits. The 6’4 235 EDGE from Bogart, GA chose the Bulldogs over Alabama," Fawcett reported on X/Twitter.

Brooks, a 6-foot-4 and 230-pound prospect out of Bogart, Georgia ranks as the No. 17 edge rusher in the nation and the No. 13 overall player in Georgia.
He put together a dominant junior season at North Oconee High School, racking up 131 total tackles, 24 quarterback hurries, 17 tackles for loss, and 13 sacks. He also recorded three pass breakups, forced two fumbles, and scored two defensive touchdowns. Offensively, Brooks hauled in 31 catches for 569 yards and nine touchdowns.
Alongside Brooks, the Bulldogs are also in strong position to land five-star linebacker Tyler Atkinson, the nation’s No. 1 prospect at the position, who recently had glowing remarks about his 15th visit to Athens.
If Georgia can lock in commitments from both, their 2026 class would become even more dominant.
Georgia currently boasts the nation’s No. 5 recruiting class and has 19 players committed to their recruiting class of 2026:
