Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs are still in contention to land five-star running back Derrek Cooper.

The five-star running back from Hollywood, Florida, was shown holding Ohio State, Miami, Georgia, Alabama, and Florida State hats during the Rivals Five-Star Challenge, hinting at his top schools.

Cooper, 6-foot-1 and 205 pounds, is ranked as high as the No. 3 running back in the class of 2026, No. 3 running back in Florida, and No. 34 overall prospect nationally by  On3.

During his junior year last fall, Cooper rushed for 905 yards and 13 touchdowns on just 124 carries, averaging over seven yards per touch.

He also added 156 receiving yards and a touchdown, while making a significant impact on defense and special teams, tallying 46 tackles, four pass deflections, and returning kicks at roughly a 40-yard average.

Locking in Cooper won't be easy, considering he holds over 30 Power Five offers and has taken official visits to Alabama, Miami, Georgia, Florida State, Penn State, and Ohio State.

However, the Bulldogs have done a great job of keeping themselves in the mix.

"Our bond is very good," Cooper recently told Rivals about coach Smart and Georgia following his official visit to Athens. "You know, we talk every day, you know, just chatting it up, see how things are going. So our bond is pretty tight."

Cooper is expected to announce his college commitment on July 12.
