Ole Miss Rebels head coach Lane Kiffin is doing his best to be a thorn in the side of the Tennessee Vols, his one-time employer.

Kiffin and the Rebels are attempting to swipe 2026 four-star tight end Carson Sneed from the Volunteers.

Sneed, 6-foot-6/248 lbs from Nashville, Tn., has been committed to Tennessee since last August. He's rated as the No. 13 tight end in the nation (via 247Sports composite rankings).

The Vol commit took an official visit to Ole Miss this past weekend, and it reportedly went well for the Rebels.

Sneed told On3 after the visit that Ole Miss "of course" has a shot to flip him from Tennessee.

Kiffin, perhaps unsurprisingly, has utilized social media to publicize Sneed's interest in the Rebels.

The former Tennessee head coach has retweeted several articles this week that highlight Sneed's growing relationship with Ole Miss.

Sneed is still committed to Tennessee, but it's clear that this battle is far from over.

The four-star recruit reportedly has concerns about how tight ends are utilized in Josh Heupel's offense at Tennessee. Those concerns combined with the overtures from Kiffin and the Rebels are certainly reasons for Vols fans to be worried about a possible decommitment from Sneed.

Losing a recruit always hurts. But losing a recruit to Kiffin would be especially painful for Tennessee.
