The South Carolina Gamecocks’ quarterback, LaNorris Sellers expressed his respect for Alabama football on the heels of Florida State’s quarterback, Thomas Castellanos, taking aim at the Crimson Tide with recent comments.

Castellanos recently told ON3’s Pete Nakos he could not see Alabama ‘stopping’ him.

Sellers and South Carolina were defeated by the Tide 27-25 last season at Saban Field at Bryant-Denny Stadium. He detailed his respect for Alabama during an interview on the Zach Gelb Show when the Castellanos’ statements was brought up.

“Shoot, Alabama is still Alabama to me,” Sellers said on Tuesday. “They were good last year. They’re a good team. They’re big, strong, and fast. That’s how I remember watching them growing up. And I don’t really think they’ve changed much. Obviously, they’ve got a new coaching staff and all that but that’s still SEC ball. That’s still Alabama.”

The Gamecocks and Sellers take on the Tide at home on Oct. 25.
