Fans may have received the first glimpse of an EA Sports College Football 26 cover.
The icon video game franchise returned after an 11-year absence last year. It became the highest-selling football video game of all time and 2024's second-most-sold game behind Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.
Some fans are eager to get their hands on the newest installment this summer. Although they'll have to wait a few more months, they at least appeared to get an early look at some cover art.
On Wednesday, an Instagram account leaked pictures from an alleged photoshoot. Numerous players, coaches, and mascots are posing on bleachers for what's believed to be the Deluxe Edition cover photo of CFB 26.
The Athletic's Chris Vannini confirmed that the photos are real from a photoshoot on Wednesday.
Vannini noted that the leaked image is likely not the final cover. Furthermore, EA Sports will probably release multiple covers.

Quinn Ewers, Travis Hunter, and Donovan Edwards graced the primary cover of College Football 25. The Deluxe Edition cover also featured Jalen Milroe, Carson Beck, Quinshon Judkins, and numerous other players and school flags.
EA Sports appeared to arrange another group cover for its next Deluxe Edition.
Ohio State stars Jeremiah Smith and Caleb Downs and Alabama wide receiver Ryan Williams are among those in the picture. Quarterbacks Garrett Nussmeier, DJ Lagway, and Sam Leavitt also posed alongside running backs Nick Singleton and Jeremiyah Love.
Before his college debut, Michigan freshman quarterback Bryce Underwood also landed a spot on the cover.
Ryan Day, Kirby Smart, James Franklin, Kenny Dillingham, and Lane Kiffin are additionally seen in the photo. Their presence suggests that the game may include real head coaches.
Former Heisman Trophy winners and CFB cover athletes Reggie Bush and Tim Tebow are also present. So are mascots representing Georgia, Clemson, Oregon, and Tennessee.
EA Sports announced in January that College Football 26 will return this summer, but the company has yet to reveal an official release date.
