LSU Cracks Elite 2026 OL's Top-Four
Denny Medley-USA TODAY Sports

Elite 2026 OL, Lamar Brown, names LSU in his top-four schools along with Texas A&M, Miami and Florida.

The LSU Tigers have been on a recruiting heater for the past few seasons, and now they're looking to add a massive piece to their already strong 2026 class. Lamar Brown, a Louisiana native, has named the Tigers in his top-four schools.

Brown currently ranks as the No. 22 overall prospect in the On3 industry rankings. The 6-foot-3, 285-pound interior offensive lineman plays his high school ball on LSU's campus at University Laboratory High School (U-Lab). He's grown up mere minutes from Tiger Stadium his whole life, which certainly works in LSU's favor.

Brown also set a commitment date today. He will choose between LSU, Texas A&M, Florida and Miami on the Fourth of July.

Brown is the king of cryptic tweets, but a few weeks ago, he was pretty open and honest as he named LSU as his No. 1 school after it was announced LSU DL Coach, Bo Davis, was leaving to take a job with the New Orleans Saints.

There has been talk about Brown possibly playing on the defensive line at the next level despite being listed as the No. 1 IOL in the 2026 class. The Tigers could end up finding their guard duo for the foreseeable future this offseason with young guys like Carius Curne, Solomon Thomas, Paul Mubenga, DJ Chester and others battling for starting role this season. On top of that, LSU will also be losing starting DT, Jacobian Guillory, this offseason and are much thinner at the interior of their defensive line, which could be cause for a position swap once Brown gets to college if he chooses LSU.

It seems the Tigers are in the drivers seat for Brown's talents. They still have nearly four months until his decision date, so they need to make sure they keep their foot on the gas if they want to keep him in the boot, especially after losing Jakeem Stewart this past cycle.
