Brian Kelly and the LSU Tigers currently hold the No. 1 Recruiting Class in the 2026 cycle heading into May with multiple program-changing prospects committed to the program.

The Bayou Bengals have utilized the spring to reel in a handful of pledges, but it's the wide receiver position that has been bolstered for the long haul.

It started with a commitment from Tristen Keys, the top-ranked wideout in America, followed by Louisiana's No. 1 receiver in Jabari Mack making his decision public.

Now, On3 Sports has revealed the latest recruiting rankings update heading into the summer months with LSU now officially holding a pair of Top-10 wideout commitments.

The Wide Receiver Haul: LSU Edition

Tristen Keys: No. 1 WR in America

Kelly and the LSU Tigers gained a commitment from Keys, the top-ranked wideout in the 2026 Recruiting Cycle, after revealing a decision in March.

The coveted prospect is coming off of an impressive junior campaign where led his Hattiesburg High School squad to a 13-1 record in 2024 after logging 58 receptions for 1,275 receiving yards and 14 touchdowns last season.

Keys is rated as the No. 1 wide receiver and a consensus five-star prospect with LSU locking down the program-changing recruit.

Jabari Mack: No. 1 WR in Louisiana

Mack, the No. 1 rated wideout in Louisiana, is ranked as a Top-10 receiver in America with Kelly's crew winning out for his services.

LSU earned the pledge over the likes of the Texas Longhorns, Ohio State Buckeyes and Texas A&M Aggies.

The 6-foot-1, 200-pounder remains one of the most sought-after prospects in America with the Bayou Bengals landing the pledge.

Kenny Darby: 4-star Wide Receiver

Darby is fresh off of a junior campaign where he landed on the 5A All-State team after logging 100 receptions for 1,764 yards and 24 scores. One of the most prolific receivers in Louisiana, Darby is a player the program remains high on heading into his senior season.

The 6-foot, 175-pounder is a speedy, twitchy wideout that burst on the scene in 2024 with LSU extending an offer. Darby wasted no time in pledging to the program.

Darby is rated as the No. 7 overall prospect in Louisiana and the No. 2 wide receiver.

Jakai Anderson: 4-star Wide Receiver

Anderson is another elite-level wide receiver out of Louisiana who recently earned 4A All-State honors after an impressive junior season.

He logged 57 catches for 972 yards and 14 touchdowns on the season, but a Swiss Army Knife that does it all. Anderson also rushed for 151 yards and four scores on 16 carries.

The prized prospect is rated as the No. 8 overall player in Louisiana and a Top-200 overall prospect in America.

One of the biggest wildcards for the Oklahoma Sooners in 2025 just gave fans the ultimate news that everyone's been begging for

When the Oklahoma Sooners made the decision to target Deion Burks in the transfer portal last season, everyone was excited, and rightfully so. In a very bad program and a very bad offense at Purdue, Burks was amazing. So, imagine him on the Sooners, right? Well, not exactly. The first game for him was amazing, as he had three touchdowns in that one game. Outside of that and his third game, where he had 80 receiving yards, that would be pretty much all we would see from him for the entire season. It's not that Burks was bad, because he was pretty good considering the bad scheme, bad playcalling, bad offensive line, and bad quarterback play. It's more so that an old saying applied to him all too well. "Availability is the best ability." Sooners fans get a perfect update on Deion Burks Last year, Burks played in just five games, but was never really the same health-wise. And, he was never able to be featured the way he should have been. Now, he's healthy. "I'm feeling great health-wise, man," Burks told reporters on-site on Monday after practice. "This is the best I have felt since I have been in college, truthfully. Had a great day of practice today… It's been a learning experience. Definitely, last year didn't go how I expected, so I learned from it. So, it's been great this year, I have no complaints. Working with John Mateer and Ben Arbukle has been great." Somehow, Burks still had 31 catches for 245 yards and three touchdowns. And that's with everything going on that I mentioned just a second ago. In this new offense, if he can stay healthy, he can easily be a 1,000-yard receiver. He has the quarterback, the offensive scheme, the play caller, and the weapons around him to take some pressure off of him. And the Sooners should have a great run game to help set up that passing game. So, to hear that he is healthy is exactly what Sooners fans needed to hear, because they've been begging for that for a while now.

Vikings WR gets brutal injury news for second straight season

A Minnesota Vikings wide receiver's season is already over. The Minnesota Vikings announced on Tuesday that wide receiver Rondale Moore is being placed on season-ending injured reserve due to a leg injury that he suffered in the team's first preseason game against the Houston Texans this past weekend. It is a devastating blow for Moore who is now being sidelined for an entire season, before it even begins, for the second year in a row. Moore signed a one-year, $2 million contract in free agency with the Vikings this offseason in the hopes he could return from a different injury that cost him the entirety of the 2024 season. Moore was a member of the Atlanta Falcons in 2024 after being acquired in a trade with the Arizona Cardinals for backup quarterback Desmond Ridder. This is now two different teams that Moore has been a part of but will never play a game for them due to injuries. Moore was injured while returning a punt. He began his career with the Arizona Cardinals, catching 135 passes for 1,201 yards over three seasons before being traded. He was never going to be counted on to be a key contributor for the Vikings offense this season, especially given the superstars they already have at wide receiver in Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison, but he still had a chance to be an interesting depth player. Now it is fair to wonder what the rest of his career might even look like. Missing two full seasons due to two different leg injuries is going to be a brutal thing to try to come back from. Missing two seasons for any reason is difficult, but when you add the leg injuries to the equation, it makes the obstacle even steeper.

Bryson DeChambeau divulges Scottie Scheffler's biggest advantage

We all know Scottie Scheffler is the best golfer on the planet by a fairly large margin, but what makes him so much more consistent than other stars in professional golf? Bryson DeChambeau, one of Scheffler's biggest rivals in major championships, thinks he knows the answer. In Tuesday's appearance on "The Pat McAfee Show," DeChambeau detailed how Scheffler dominates the PGA Tour weekly. "He's got the best spin and distance control I've ever seen," DeChambeau said. "He controls the golf ball from a spin perspective so much better than everybody else. Like, if you're 175 yards out, and it's 10 miles [an hour] into the wind, he knows how to control the flight and spin to get that ball to land right next to the hole every time. Probably since Tiger [Woods], he's the best that we've seen." The stats confirm DeChambeau's breakdown. Scheffler has ranked first on the PGA Tour in strokes gained on approach in three straight seasons. He also ranks first in proximity to the hole and greens in regulation percentage over the last four years. Iron play is Scheffler's superpower, but it wasn't always that way. "I played with him in college a bunch, and I've said it before, but he's definitely improved since college for sure," DeChambeau said with a chuckle. "It's impressive to see what he's done, and we're all aspiring to do that. That's something I've gotta get better at. I can hit it farther than him. I can hit it probably straighter than him. I can make just as many putts as him, but, really, it's about my iron play right now and wedges to get a little more consistent." Iron play is the biggest indicator of success in professional golf. If you're giving yourself more birdie chances from close range than anyone in the field, you're going to have the best chance to win by Sunday afternoon. No one is better at hitting specific distances more consistently than Scheffler. Just look at how accurate he is. DeChambeau has the best chance to catch Scheffler as the best player in the world because he's elite off the tee and on the greens, but that won't happen unless he makes a major improvement to his iron game.

Vikings make roster move that puts another nail in the coffin of Kwesi Adofo-Mensah's first NFL Draft class

Minnesota Vikings general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah's first NFL Draft class is the biggest factor in people not liking him as the leader of the Vikings' front office. The first three picks were all off the roster before the start of training camp with only one player from the first two days still with the Vikings. On Tuesday, that ended up changing with three roster moves being made. Vikings waive ILB Brian Asamoah II Tuesday was a day of multiple roster moves. Wide receiver Rondale Moore was placed on injured reserve, and Zeke Correll was waived with an injury designation. However, the biggest one came when the Vikings waived former third-round pick from the 2022 NFL Draft Brian Asamoah II. It's a tough finish to Asamoah's career with the Vikings, especially after how it started. Asamoah looked like the next explosive Vikings linebacker. He was flying around the field consistently throughout his rookie season and was making plays. His time in Minnesota was best known for the forced fumble against the New York Giants on Christmas Eve. Things went wrong for a multitude of reasons for Asamoah, but the biggest one was the change at defensive coordinator. Ed Donatell was the defensive coordinator in his rookie season, and he ran a version of the Vic Fangio defense. When Brian Flores came to Minnesota, Asamoah didn't mesh with his defense, mainly due to his inconsistent tackling ability. You need to be a good tackler in Flores' aggressive style of defense. The Vic Fangio defense is predicated on gang tackling, which allows faster players to miss more tackles due to the conservative nature of the scheme. He could end up getting picked up by a team like the Philadelphia Eagles for that reason. It's also the latest example of the failure of the Vikings' 2022 NFL Draft class. Only Jalen Nailor and Ty Chandler are remaining. Luckily, the draft process for the Vikings has significantly improved. The Vikings now have three roster spots to fill going into joint practices, and it will be interesting to see how they get filled.
