It’s been said many times that mothers play a key role in the lives of football players. Whether it’s a big hug to celebrate a win or a ride to practice, for many mom is and will always be their biggest supporter.

On Sunday, many LSU Tigers took to Instagram to celebrate their moms. This included current student athletes, past superstars and some current NFL rookies trying to make a name for themselves.

One of the newest Tigers, Nic Anderson posted on Instagram, “I’m grateful for my mom because she’s made so many sacrifices for me to be in the position I’m in right now and has given me more than enough love and support on the way.”

Star linebacker Harold Perkins Jr. wrote, “Ima grateful for my moms because without her, I wouldn’t be here and I’m grateful that she sacrificed for me to be where I am today.” Quarterback Garrett Nussmeier posted, “I am grateful for everything my mom does for the family and I! Best mom in the world!”

Two sets of brothers at LSU football made a point to celebrate the matriarch of the family. The Weeks brothers posted, “”Because she is the best mom you could ask for. She always supports us no matter what we’re doing and she’s always our #1 fan.” The Bordelon brothers wrote, “We are thankful for everything she does for us. She is our biggest cheerleader in football and in life!”

NFL rookie Major Burns posted, “Happy Mother’s Day to my best friend. I love you, Ma and I appreciate everything you have done for me and my brothers, always made a way.” Second year player Malik Nabers wrote, “God gave me one of his best angels when he sent me you. Happy Mother’s Day, Mom. There’s nothing in the world I wouldn’t give you.” And finally, Mason Taylor posted, “Happy Mother’s Day, Mom. Couldn’t be here without you! I love you.”
