Irvington (NJ) High teammates Maraad Watson and Jahide Lesaine both committed to Kent State earlier this month. That has not, however, prevented power five schools from getting involved. Nebraska, Pittsburgh, Rutgers and Syracuse have all offered in the last few days. Tennessee offered Watson Thursday night. The Orange will now get an official visit for both this weekend, Irvington head coach Smoke Pierre told All Syracuse.
Watson is a 6-3, 285 pound defensive tackle prospect. Lesaine is a 6-4, 235 defensive end prospect. Lesained is rated three stars by 247Sports and On3. Watson is not rated by any of the major recruiting services.
"Both dominate the line of scrimmage every single week," Pierre said. "Quick twitch kids that play with violence. Maraad has strong hands, plays well with short space and is explosive. Jahide is long, rangy and can bend well. Has a knack for getting to the ball."
Both current have visits scheduled to Nebraska and Pittsburgh next week.
