The 2025 NFL Draft is here, and college players' dreams are about to come true as they embark on their next journey in the NFL.
The Texas Longhorns have a number of players that are going to hear their names called in the first round, such as Jahdae Barron and Kelvin Banks Jr.
Another Longhorn that could be selected in the first round is speedy wide receiver Matthew Golden. One of the best receivers in the draft is an immediate top rookie of the year candidate as he enters the NFL.
Golden spoke with On3 Sports' Andy & Ari show about getting drafted, and said that he plans to buy his grandmother a house with his money.
"We lost our property a couple of years ago... it'd be a blessing to get that back for my family," says Golden.
One of the more heartwarming stories out there, as Golden is going to make his family very happy with being able to buy his grandmother a house.
The place he grew up, so close to the high school he attended, is a big part of their family's history, and he intends on buying the house back.
He stated that the house is currently still for sale and that he checks consistently to make sure it will be available when he gets drafted.
As a young man, being able to provide that for his family is incredible, and would start his professional career in a bright way, before even stepping foot onto the football field.
