It's not every day when you have the chance to host all of the best recruits in the nation in one area. However, that's how things have basically lined up for the Miami Hurricanes as they get ready to take on the Florida Gators on Saturday night at Hard Rock Stadium. It's a matchup that will have the eyes of the nation looking on with a primetime kick and College Gameday in attendance.
According to 247 Sports' Gaby Urrutia, there will be a number of other important observers very important to the Hurricanes. Miami will have over half of the top 2o-ranked wide receivers in the nation for the 2027 class in attendance at the game, including the top four ranked wideouts and six of the top ten.
Update to this: Miami expects to the No. 1, No. 2, No. 3., No. 4, No. 6, No. 8, No. 11, No. 15, No. 16, No. 19, and No. 20 WR's in the country to visit this weekend... Not sure I've seen anything quite like this before. https://t.co/PAvZ9Tw1wk

The Miami Hurricanes will host 11 of the top 20 wide receivers in 247 Sports' rankings for the 2027 class against the Florida Gators
The biggest name on the list is Dayton, OH WR Jamier Brown. 247 Sports has him as the #6 overall player and #1 wide receiver in their composite rankings. He's been an Ohio State commit since late November 0f 2024, so he's been plugging into the Buckeyes for quite some time now. Another five star who will be in attendance from up north is Indianapolis wideout Monshun Sales, the #13 overall player and #2 WR per 247 Sports.
A couple of local names to watch are Nick Lennear and Julius Jones. Lennear, who plays for Miami Northwestern, is a five-star player, the #23 overall recruit, #4 wide receiver, and #3 player in the state of Florida for the 2027 cycle. Jones is the #65 overall player, #13 wideout, and #6 player in Florida in 247's composite rankings.
The Hurricanes' offense had question marks coming into the 2025 season with Miami's top four wide receivers and top tight end leaving the program to the NFL and the transfer portal (Isaiah Horton was the only transfer), but the Hurricanes have answered the bell in a strong way. Shannon Dawson's offense hasn't missed a beat so far this year, and the passing game has been a big part of it. Carson Beck has had a strong connection with CJ Daniels and Malachi Toney through three games, but he's also spread the ball around to a number of other targets, including Keelon Marion and Joshua Moore.
If the Hurricanes can slam the door on the Gators' 2025 season while continuing their hot start, it could do wonders for their 2027 recruiting class, particularly among pass catchers. We'll find out soon enough, as kickoff is set for 7:30 pm ET Saturday night in Miami Gardens.
