The Miami Hurricanes continue to bring in the future of the program as they land the commitment of four-star quarterback Israel Abrams.

The 6-foot-4 quarterback possesses some of the traits that previous Hurricanes QBs have had. Abrams has a great arm and mental game similar to Cam Ward, Carson Beck, and Darian Mensah.

"I think that really trusts us being down there, you know, from when we got there one, we got there Monday and were there, so Thursday morning, and the coaches were nothing but full of information," Abrams said on the Pat McAfee Show.

"I think that's a place where I can pursue my dreams and do something I want to do, which is get better, you know what I mean? And my teammates, you know, about just getting my guy better, and I can be better.
So when I get to Miami, my only goal will be to try to win the championship every year, and I want to be in Heisman talks. I'm not trying to be cocky, I don't see it that way because I just never see it that way, and I think that it's normal, that's never going to stop us around me the way."

Last season, he threw over 4,000 yards and led Montini Catholic (IL) to a state title. He is a winner, and that is something that the Canes have wanted for years.

He has high goals and those are the type of players that head coach Mario Cristobal wants.

"They've done an amazing job throughout the process with the limited time that they've had," Abrams told InsideTheU earlier this week. "It definitely shows with the way that they're recruiting me how effective they are when they're recruiting me. It's not just a bunch of spam text messages. They take the time to actually text me, which is important because I don't want a garbage relationship. I want something real, so I appreciate the realness."

This is the Hurricanes' eighth commit of the 2027 class, which currently ranks as the No. 12 Class in the country.
