It wasn't an immediate flip, but it was a flip nonetheless. The Michigan Wolverines welcomed three-star linebacker Aden Reeder onto campus this past weekend for an official visit, and just days later, it has paid off.
Reeder, a 6-foot-3, 215-pound linebacker from Cincinnati, Ohio's St. Xavier High School, had been committed to the Wisconsin Badgers since May.
He was offered by the Wolverines in late October, though, and he got the chance to visit Michigan for a game day. Reeder decommitted from Wisconsin the Monday after the visit, which was a Saturday trip in Ann Arbor for Michigan's night game win over Purdue.
He's now officially committed to the Wolverines. On Thursday morning, just days after he decommitted from Wisconsin, he announced his intention to join Sherrone Moore's 2026 class.

"Michigan is a great school academically and athletically and being a kid from Ohio I grew up knowing all about the history and players that Michigan has developed," Reeder told Steve Wiltfong of Rivals.
One has to wonder if Wisconsin's tough season played into Reeder's decision. The Badgers are 2-6 right now and riding a six-game losing skid. Head coach Luke Fickell is likely not long for his job at Wisconsin. In the meantime, Moore has Michigan at 7-2 and ranked No. 21 in the nation. Either way, this is a nice pickup for the Wolverines.
"The sky is the limit for Aden," St. Xavier head coach Steve Specht told Rivals. "He has grown a boatload in the past two years. He went from playing the free safety position for us as a sophomore and we moved him to linebacker last year and the difference from last year physically to what he looks like today is tremendous. You look at his body frame, he’s still growing. He’s going to put more weight on. I think he’s going to grow himself into a five-tech, rush end. Has great change of direction. He’s explosive. Very fast-twitch. My god I think what separates Aden is his explosiveness off the ball and ability to rush the passer. And he’s just getting bigger and better. He doesn’t know what he doesn’t know yet. He’s learning every day and his best football is in front of him."
According to the 247Sports Composite, he's the No. 40-ranked linebacker in the 2026 class. He's Michigan's 22nd commitment in a 2026 class that's ranked No. 10 nationally.
