Chris Brazzell II is the latest name that University of Michigan football fans need to know — he is a four-star transfer portal wide receiver from Tulane University, and per new reports, the Wolverines’ coaching staff is in contact with him.
After the 2023 season comes to a close, Michigan football will be losing a key piece: wide receiver Cornelius Johnson, who is one of JJ McCarthy’s favorite targets right now. While Roman Wilson has an NFL decision to make, it’s largely assumed that Michigan may need a replacement for him, too, as the Wolverines look to remain in title contention once the Big Ten and College Football Playoff expand next fall.

Today, a new report from Hayes Fawcett of On3 shows that Michigan football is in contact with a major transfer portal target: Chris Brazzell II, a big-bodied Tulane wide receiver.
Per the 247 Sports transfer portal rankings, Brazzell II is rated as a four-star transfer, ranking as the No. 47 overall prospect and No. 10 wideout in the portal right now. Now, as a transfer, he is garnering tons of national interest, including being in contact with the Michigan football coaching staff as the Wolverines prepare for the Rose Bowl game.
Chris Brazzell II stands at 6-foot-5 and weighs in around 200 pounds — he will be transferring with three years of eligibility remaining.
