The long awaited EA Sports College Football video game is officially coming July 19th. The cover release had been teased and leaked for nearly a week already, but now it's finally official. The College Football 25 video game cover will feature three star athletes: Quinn Ewers, Travis Hunter, and Donovan Edwards.
Donovan Edwards dominated Washington for over 100 rushing yards and two long scores in the national championship game for Michigan. Quinn Ewers is the returning star quarterback who just took Texas to the College Football Playoff. Travis Hunter is perhaps the most well-known college football player in the country thanks to his dramatic recruitment with Deion Sanders, his two-way play on offense and defense, and his YouTube/social presence.

As avid long-time fans know, this isn't the first time that Michigan Football has been featured on the cover of the college football video game. In fact, the last cover before the game was taken away featured Denard Robinson. And that wasn't the first time either.
In fact, since the creation of the college football video game, no other program has dominated the cover more than the Michigan Wolverines. The Maize and Blue have sent four of their players to be featured as a cover athlete for the game in the history of the series, setting the standard across all of college football.

There was some controversy surrounding the inclusion of Donovan Edwards, given that he struggled for much of last season. But those complaints primarily came from casual fans that didn't understand Edwards was recovering from patellar tendon surgery he had during the offseason.
And once he got fully back up to speed (by the College Football Playoff), Edwards looked like the same explosive running back who dominated Ohio State, Purdue, and TCU for over 500 yards on the ground in the final three games of Michigan's 2022 season.
Edwards should star yet again in 2024, inevitably justifying his presence on the cover of the EA Sports College Football video game as one of the greatest stars in the sport.
