Michigan HC Sherrone Moore compares RB Jordan Marshall to school great

Michigan head coach Sherrone Moore is high on what Jordan Marshall brings to the table for the Wolverines in 2025 and beyond.

Marshall, a freshman running back from West Chester Ohio, spent most of the season on the bench but got his chance to prove himself as a gamer in the ReliaQuest Bowl against Alabama.

Despite having only eight total carries heading into the bowl game, Marshall carried the ball 23 times for Michigan and totaled 100 yards, averaging 4.3 yards per carry.

He was named the MVP of Michigan's 19-13 win and now that Moore and the Wolverines are looking ahead to the 2025 season — they seem to think they have the next great one in Marshall.

I think he’s got a bright future. Like I said, he reminds me so much of Blake [Corum]," Moore said, according to On3. "The way he approaches his business, and what he does off the field to take care of his body, and you obviously saw how he runs. He’s a physical runner, he can make people miss, he can run you over, he obviously has that burst.”

Getting a comparison to Corum is a big deal considering that he's the the school's all-time leader in rushing touchdowns (58), total touchdowns (61) and points scored (366).

Corum is an all-time great Wolverine, so if Moore is comparing Marshall to him, the young running back must have a very bright future ahead of him in Ann Arbor.
