Several of the top prospects in April's NFL Draft skipped last weekend's scouting combine, while others simply participated in off-field interviews and visits.
One player who didn't participate opted to move his workouts to his school's Pro Day, but some unfortunate news means that he won't participate there either.
According to ESPN's Jordan Reid , Michigan defensive back Will Johnson will not be at the Wolverines' Pro Day on March 21 due to a hamstring injury. Johnson will shift his focus to a private workout with NFL teams, currently scheduled for April 14.

He is expected to be fully cleared and will hold a private workout for NFL teams on April 14th.
That's ten days before the first round of this year's draft begins, and that's where many experts and analysts expect Johnson to be drafted. The corner was a key piece on Michigan's national title-winning team from the 2023 season, and was also one of the few starters from that team to return in 2024.
He was a two-time All-American for the Wolverines, earning Big Ten honors in each of his final two seasons at Michigan. In 32 games, he intercepted nine passes and returned three for touchdowns.
Injuries were a concern for Johnson during the 2024 season, as he played in only six games. The cornerback battled shoulder injuries and turf toe at different points in the season, missing games and resulting in an inconsistent schedule.
Johnson is ranked among the top defensive backs in this year's draft class, joining players like Colorado's Travis Hunter, Georgia's Malaki Starks and Notre Dame's Benjamin Morrison.
Several teams in the top of the first round need help in the secondary, and Johnson may not have to wait long to hear his name called.
13 Michigan players were drafted after last year's national championship season, and while Sherrone Moore wasn't able to defend the title, he was able to earn a win over the eventual champions in Ohio State.
Johnson and a few other Wolverines will now head to the NFL as the program looks to rebuild once again. Johnson's former college coach Jim Harbaugh has selected a few of his former players in the NFL Draft with the Los Angeles Chargers, and we'll see if he gets an opportunity to add another next month in Green Bay.
