The mother of Alabama football’s defensive lineman, Jeremiah Beaman, reported he had a successful surgery on Tuesday morning with a post to Facebook.

Beaman started in the Crimson Tide’s first game of the season against Florida State. He went down with a lower-body injury while the Tide were preparing for Louisiana-Monroe. DeBoer confirmed the news on “Hey Coach and The Kalen DeBoer Show.”

“We unfortunately had an injury this morning in practice, and I think the words out and family and everything, been notified, but Jeremiah Beaman suffered a lower-body injury and right now we’re expecting him to probably be out for the year,” DeBoer said while reporting the news.

The Birmingham, Alabama, native is now on the road to recovery.
