The Oregon Ducks are compiling another monster recruiting class in the 2026 cycle. Since head coach Dan Lanning joined the Ducks, Oregon has steadily improved its placement in recruiting rankings with finishes at 11th, seventh, third and fourth from 2022 to 2025.

The Big Ten powerhouse is off to another strong start for the 2026 class, currently ranking seventh, according to On3.

Oregon secured one of the top 2026 recruits on Thursday with a commitment from offensive tackle Immanuel Iheanacho. The 6-foot-7, 380-pound goliath is a five-star prospect ranked fourth in the country, second at his position and second in the state of Maryland.

Described as a "mountain of an offensive tackle prospect with light-footed movement skills" by Charles Power, On3's Director of Scouting, Iheanacho could have a path to playing time as a freshman because Oregon has three senior starters along the offensive line this year, according to Ourlads' depth chart.

Shortly after Iheanacho's commitment, Jackson Cantwell, the country's No. 1 recruit, reshared a post to celebrate and congratulate.

"Yessirrrrrr @immanueli24," read Cantwell's post.

Cantwell, a five-star offensive tackle from Nixa, Missouri, committed to the Miami Hurricanes in May; however, Oregon was one of his finalists. On June 22, he made an official visit to the Ducks.

Oregon's 2026 class appears to be more focused on quality than quantity. Lanning and the Ducks have 14 commitments in the 2026 cycle, second-fewest among the top 15 teams in On3's team rankings.

Of those 14 pledges, eight are among the top 200 players in the country and four are in the top 100. Iheanacho is the Ducks' highest-rated recruit.

Oregon has one other five-star commitment: safety Jett Washington from Bishop Gorman in Las Vegas, Nevada. The 6-foot-4, 200-pound safety joined the Ducks in June.
