NC State at Notre Dame odds: Opening point spread revealed

For just the fifth time in history, Notre Dame and NC State will square off. The two teams will meet at Notre Dame Stadium in Week 7, and the opening point spread has been released.

Notre Dame opened as a 22.5-point favorite over NC State, according to BetMGM. The over-under also opened at 61.5 points.

The Fighting Irish got the victory last time the two teams played in 2023. They will look to find a similar fate this year – this time on their home turf in South Bend.

In that 2023 matchup, Sam Hartman threw for four touchdowns and Audric Estime added two rushing touchdowns as Notre Dame flew past NC State, 45-24, in Raleigh. It marked Hartman’s second career win over the Wolfpack after going 1-2 over the course of his career at Wake Forest.

Notre Dame will look to continue building on a strong start to the year on offense. Quarterback CJ Carr impressed through the first month, putting together a standout performance in the Fighting Irish’s Week 5 win over Arkansas. Running back Jeremiyah Love has also been impressive, leading a two-headed monster in the Notre Dame backfield.

Speaking with On3 last week, Love had high praise for both his quarterback and backfield mate Jadarian Price. In fact, he put the duo in a class of their own.

“We feed off of each other,” Love told On3 via Zoom on behalf of Samsung. “If I’m going out there having success, I come back to the sideline telling him about what I saw and he goes out there and has great success. That’s just how we feed off of each other.

“We just complement each other very well, I think. Whenever I’m down, JD’s up. If JD’s down, I’m up. We’re a great, great duo. I feel like we’re the best duo in the country.”
