Dylan Raiola never entered the transfer portal after his freshman season at Nebraska. In fact, he never even hinted at it.
Still, Raiola's name was bantered about as a potential transfer portal superstar had a "blue-blood" program come calling on his services with a nice NIL package. There was no substance behind those thoughts other than Raiola's talent as a young quarterback and Nebraska's status being far from "blue blood" like it was during the heyday of the 90s.
Raiola addressed those rumors on social media the day the transfer portal opened.

On Thursday, when speaking to the media in a press availability, the young Nebraska quarterback again addressed those transfer portal rumors.
“You know, honestly, it was unfortunate that I had to, you know, kind of reassure everyone I was here, you know,” Raiola said (h/t On3). “I never officially entered and never really was shopping around. So, yeah, I don’t really have much to say other than, you know, that whole kind of deal was kind of out of my control.”

Raiola had an up-and-down freshman season as he threw for 2,595 yards and 12 touchdowns but he also threw 12 interceptions. Still, the talent that made him as five-star quarterback recruit was undoubtedly on display at times. Nebraska will be lucky to have him next season.
