Oakley Keegan committed to Alabama earlier this month, and he has locked in with the Crimson Tide.
Keegan attends Liverpool High School in Liverpool, New York. He has college football offers from Alabama, Syracuse, Vanderbilt and others. However, the Crimson Tide is the only school set to host him for an official visit this summer.
The 2027 recruit has canceled all of his other official visits. He committed to Alabama after earning an offer from the Tide during the summer. The Tide stayed in consistent contact with him after extending the offer.
“We visited campus, and that was beautiful,” Keegan told Touchdown Alabama. “That was really awesome and then obviously the coaching staff, I have a lot of respect for them. They’re super welcoming. And then obviously going through my injury, they were super supportive. So, that meant a lot. I always wanted to play in the SEC, getting closer down to family. We have family that lives in Georgia. I got a lot of respect for them. The discipline that they have, the coaching staff, and the connection I have with the coaching staff already has just been incredible and just I love Alabama. I think it’s the right choice.”
Keegan dealt with an injury and missed a lot of time during the 2025 season. He earned an offer from the Crimson Tide during the summer, and he felt it was his best camp performance.
“We went to a bunch of camps, and I think throughout all these camps, I got like progressively better,” Keegan said. “I think Alabama, I think that was the best camp I’ve had. And so I think it was a combination of that and then route running and kind of all of the above. And then coach (Richard) Owens went over my film and he loved it.”
The 6-foot-7 tight end considers himself to be a prospect who loves being a complete tight end.
“I’m willing to do anything,” Keegan said. “But I enjoy running out for routes and getting in the pass game as well and run game as well. So, really just kind of all of the above. I’m willing to work my tail off to help out the team.”
Kalen DeBoer and Ryan Grubb used multiple tight ends in multiple offensive sets during the 2025 season. This is something Keegan really likes.
“I like how they use their tight ends, and I’m looking forward to coming to a game this year and talking with coach Owens how they use their tight ends like going forward but honestly what they’re doing right now is awesome,” said Keegan.
The Tide will get Keegan on campus for A-Day on April 11.
