Jeremiah Smith continues to make his mark with the Ohio State Buckeyes.

Smith came into the college football season as one of the biggest stars in the sport. Last season, Smith helped lead the Buckeyes to the national title.

During their College Football Playoff run, Ohio State defeated some of the top teams in the nation such as Notre Dame, Texas and Oregon.

In Week 2 of the college football season, Smith was back to where he started his college football career, in the history books.

After winning multiple Big Ten awards last season, Smith entered his name in the Ohio State history books.

Smith scored a touchdown pass from quarterback Julian Sayin. The 87-yard touchdown goes down as the longest play in Ohio State football history.

Ohio State shared the news on social media with a photo of Jeremiah Smith during the team's matchup against the Grambling State Tigers.

"Rewriting the record books," posted the official social media account of the Ohio State Buckeyes.

Jeremiah Smith finished the game against Grambling State with two touchdowns and 119 yards on five receptions in the 70-0 win for the Buckeyes.

In Week 1 of the college football season, Smith posted 43 yards on six receptions, helping Ohio State defeat Texas.

Jeremiah Smith and the Ohio State Buckeyes entered Week 2 as the No. 1 team in college football.

They were previously listed as the No. 3 team in the country but wound up taking over No. 1 ahead of their matchup against Grambling State.
