The Oklahoma Sooners are gearing up to play their final game of the 2024 season, in a bowl game against the Navy Midshipmen. The Sooners were able to extend their bowl streak to 26 straight seasons after a win over Alabama and weren't able to beat LSU the following week.

This is a much different team than the one we saw against LSU, too. This roster and team are very different, as players have either gone on to the draft, graduated, or left in the transfer portal. And, that goes for pretty much every single team in the country, as that is just the reality of this new age of college football.

But, with that being said, we do know a bit about what the depth chart will look like, as the Sooners have already shared it for this week against Navy.

The one thing that sticks out is that, obviously, the Sooners have named Michael Hawkins as the starter for the game. I mean, who else would start? Jackson Arnold is now at Auburn and Casey Thompson is certainly not going to start.

The other thing that stands out is that the Sooners are really going to let some young and inexperienced players go at it during this game. This will really help them see what they have for the future.

But the one thing that fans need to be paying attention to when it comes to storylines is that pretty much every player on this roster will be on the team next season, and of course, the Sooners will be adding players as well to this roster.

But overall, this game will be important to watch because of that storyline. How does this part of the team, the part before offseason additions and the new offense, look for the years to come?
