Oklahoma State is coming off its worst season in the Mike Gundy era, and desperately needs to get its offense back to playing the brand of football that Cowboy fans have grown used to over the years.
With new coordinators and heavy turnover on the roster, there’s hope that the 2025 season can look a lot different on that side of the ball.
However, it sounds like things might be a little trickier now, as the Pokes appear to have lost one of their most promising offensive weapons for quite some time.
Last week, it was reported that redshirt junior wide receiver Talyn Shettron was dealing with an injury that would force his to miss some time.
Now, it appears that injury could keep him from playing at all in 2025.
Robert Allen of Pokes Report is reporting that Shettron suffered a torn ACL and will miss the 2025 season.

Hoping this isn’t the case, with the size and speed of Shettron he was expected to be a big contributor to our offense. Shettron was expected to have NFL interest out of OSU.
A former standout at Edmond Santa Fe High School, Shettron has struggled with injuries throughout his career, and this would be the most significant one to date.
If the report is true, Oklahoma State’s choice to go out and land Marshall wide out Christian Fitzpatrick makes all the more sense.
Shettron has spent three seasons with the Cowboys and is coming off his most productive season with the program, logging 12 catches for 245 yards and a score this past season.
