Oregon Ducks have had strong quarterback play under head coach Dan Lanning and there is no signs of that slowing down.
It was Bo Nix and then Dillon Gabriel. Now, Dante Moore could be next up in that position. The Ducks are also after the top quarterback in the country for the class of 2026 and they’re one of the two schools in the running.
Five-star Nashville Christian School (TN) QB Jared Curtis is a priority recruit for the Ducks and he is nearing a decision. The Ducks have taken a key step in the recruitment before Curtis is set to make his decision between Oregon and Georgia on May 5.
Oregon will have an in-home visit with Curtis on the day before his commitment on May 4. Will Stein will make the trip for the Ducks to try to make their final pitch. Georgia OC Mike Bobo will visit Curtis on May 4 as well this Wednesday, according to On3.

According to 247 Sports Composite rankings, Curtis is the No. 1 quarterback in the country and the No. 2 overall player. The Tennessee product holds 40 offers and boasts prototypical size of 6-foot-4 and 225 pounds.
Oregon currently has the No. 18 ranked class for 2026 with just seven players committed. Four-star TE Kendre Harrison is the highest-rated recruit in the class at No. 44 overall in the country. Harrison would be a great target to throw the ball to for Curtis if they could land him.
Having at least one and maybe even two visits with Curtis before his commitment date is key for the Ducks. Lanning and his staff look to be slightly behind Georgia in this recruitment but there is still time for last-minute pitches that could end up being the difference.
